Description

1967 JAGUAR 420 G | Offered at No Reserve
This luxurious automobile was Jaguar's top of the line saloon for ten years. The car was originally purchased by Red Skelton who immediately had it painted the current color "Skelton Red". After the current owner bought the Jag, he had his mechanic recommission it for the road. It is now running and driving well. It is driven all over Montgomery, Alabama including the interstate where it effortlessly cruises 70mph. The Jaguar 420 G is an opulent automobile with the "velvet ride of a cumulus cloud". The 4.2 liter engine is the same as the Jaguar XKE with three HD-8 SU carburetors. The engine also has a Crane electronic ignition and a WOSP gear reduction starter. Accessories include power seats, power windows, and power steering. Everything works well except the AC. This automobile marks the turning point for Jaguar between the older style car like the Mark IX and the newer XJ6. It comes with the Heritage certificate from Jaguar Trust. VIN: G1D76947BW. Selling at Public Auction on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Henderson Auctions Collector Motor Series will take place at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, AL. www.hendersonmotorseries.com for details!
